We are seeking a
Senior Project Controller
to join client's our team, responsible for
IT project financial management, forecasting, budgeting, and vendor management.
The ideal candidate will have a
strong accounting and/or financial background,
with expertise in
budget forecasting, accruals, invoice tracking, and vendor purchase order management. This position will work
closely with business partners, vendors, and service providers
in a
matrix organization
to ensure
financial accuracy and operational efficiency
for IT projects. Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Budgeting
Develop and maintain IT project forecasts, including present estimate creation and monthly updates. Perform monthly project accruals and reclassification entries. Analyze and communicate financial trends to IT leadership. Monitor, track, and approve invoices, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders through Ariba. Vendor & Contract Management
Manage vendor relationships by ensuring timely processing of invoices and tracking payments. Utilize ServiceNow Program Management Module for project financial oversight. Ensure compliance with contract terms, vendor agreements, and procurement policies . Process Improvement & Risk Mitigation
Assess financial risks and escalate issues as needed to minimize business disruptions. Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance operational efficiency. Develop and present financial reports to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related business discipline (or equivalent work experience). 5-7 years of experience in financial project management, budgeting, or vendor management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a matrix organization. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.). Foundational understanding of contracts and their financial implications. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the utility industry. Proficiency in ServiceNow Program Management Module. Hands-on experience with Ariba for purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and invoice management.
