Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: Act as the Security Engineer for all MGS-related IS within NGA/TIAT. Register all MGS IS with the NGA Designated Approval Authority (DAA). Develop and maintain System Security Authorization Agreement (SSAA) documents to reflect system development and security compliance. Ensure accurate and timely updates in the

XACTA Information Assurance web application . Review and validate system security plans for compliance with NGA policies and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs). Schedule and oversee

Vulnerability Assessment Testing (VAT) ; track findings in a

Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) . Monitor and respond to

Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) . Maintain ongoing communication with NGA C&A teams (IAO, CE, DAA) regarding system changes and security impacts. Evaluate and provide input on security-related test procedures and readiness reviews. Support the Program Manager (PM) in reviewing

Requests for Change (RFCs) ,

Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) , and associated C&A documentation. Provide lifecycle security engineering advice from concept to operations, including cost, schedule, and performance support. Initiate C&A processes early in development and ensure timely delivery of a certified and accredited system. Required Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered. Proven experience in

System Integration, System Engineering , or

Project Management

within a cybersecurity context. Strong understanding and hands-on experience with

Risk Management Framework (RMF) -particularly

Step 6: Continuous Monitoring . Experience supporting or acting as a

Designated Authorizing Official or Representative (DAO/DAO-R) . Familiarity with cybersecurity governance, compliance, and accreditation processes. Proficient in using cybersecurity tools such as

ACAS, HBSS , and

ServiceNow . Ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including government C&A teams. Must have an active TS SCI clearance Desired Qualifications

Demonstrated understanding of the geospatial intelligence mission and its contributions to the IC. Demonstrated understanding of Certification and Accreditation processes. Demonstrated specialized experience with application with NGA systems architecture component & processes. Understanding of DoD's GEOINT Tasking, Processing, Exploitation and dissemination processes (TCPED). DAWIA Level III/II certification in Program Management or equivalent (i.e. PMP) or applicable experience. Demonstrated specialized experienced using the XACTA Information Assurance web application. Demonstrated specialized experience with NGA Continuity of Operations processes; experience with writing Information Technology Disaster Recovery (ITDR) plans, Business Continuity Plans, and modifying and documenting Essential Functions. Maintain a professional certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
