Job Description

JFL Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced

ACAS Cyber Systems Administrator

to support vulnerability management and cybersecurity compliance for Department of Defense (DoD) networks. In this role, you will manage and optimize ACAS tools such as Tenable Nessus and Security Center, perform vulnerability scans, and collaborate with RMF and engineering teams to remediate risks and ensure system compliance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with DoD STIGs, strong technical troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to securing both Windows and Linux environments. This is a key role supporting mission-critical operations in a high-security, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Build and execute vulnerability remediation plans in coordination with Systems Engineering and RMF teams Configure, schedule, execute, and troubleshoot ACAS/Nessus scans Maintain and update Security Center with successful syncs and scan results Conduct analysis of scan results and provide mitigation strategies or author POA&Ms as needed Administer and support both Windows and Linux systems with a security-focused lens Implement and analyze DoD STIGs, IAVAs, and vulnerability compliance frameworks Create and maintain documentation on vulnerabilities, remediation efforts, and RMF/eMASS artifacts Support automation of ACAS operations and contribute to scripting for system efficiencies Maintain compliance with DISA OPORDs, FRAGOs, and other DoD cybersecurity directives Troubleshoot credential failures and scanning gaps across devices and networks Provide technical support across a wide range of software, hardware, and DoD-specific applications Collaborate with military officials, IT managers, and cybersecurity professionals Contribute to broader security tasks and projects as directed by leadership Requirements

Education & Certifications:

5+ years of technical experience in IT systems or a Bachelor's degree in a related field

OR 9+ years of enterprise/global network experience or a Master's degree in a related field

Military experience may substitute for education requirements Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+) as required by DoDD 8570.01, 8570.01-M, and DoDD 8140.01-03

Preferred Education & Certifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field Completion of the DISA ACAS Operator and Supervisor Course Advanced DoD certifications such as CASP+, CISSP, or CEH Experience supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF), eMASS, and DoD STIG compliance Technical Experience:

Strong experience with Tenable Nessus, Security Center (SC), and ACAS Familiarity with DISA STIGs, RMF, SCCVI, SCRI, and HBSS Knowledge of vulnerability management tools such as VMS and CMRS Proficient in scripting automation to support ACAS functionality Administration of Windows and Linux systems, with focus on cybersecurity Knowledge of DoD system authorization processes and documentation (e.g., eMASS) Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy Experience in network design, LAN/WAN configurations, and security architectures Ability to interpret scan results and provide risk-based analysis and remediation Experience supporting security assessments, scan configurations, and policy tuning Soft Skills:
