Aircraft Paint Technician 1 , at our Dayton, OH location. This position will report to
The Paint Department
Lead / Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Mask, sand, and prepare aircraft for paint application. Apply glazing and sealing compounds in preparation for final painting. Operate and maintain all types of preparation and priming equipment. Mix paints and primers. Perform leading edge sealant work in final detail. Comply with all safety and housekeeping policies. Use personal protective equipment and ensure the aircraft interior is protected (PTP). Be able to create complete paint prep work including chemical stripping and sanding on various forms of substrates (aluminum, composite, steel, stainless steel, etc.) Properly care for and maintain paint shop equipment and tools as assigned. Comply with Paint shop standard practices. Perform other duties as assigned. Compensation and Benefits:

Skills and Qualifications
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the American English language fluently to meet FAA Regulations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation. Able to pass Pulmonary Function Test to obtain respirator certification. Ability to use standard aircraft mechanics tools, equipment, and materials in the aircraft painting process. Able to climb ladders and stairs, perform close tolerance work, work in small spaces, lift up to 40 pounds. Must be able to work at heights to include from a 20' ladder. Must be computer literate. Knowledge of Corridor Maintenance Program, MS Office programs, especially Outlook is a plus. A working knowledge of paint processes and products (lacquers, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and acrylics). Must be Team oriented, self-driven and safety conscious Must be Goal-oriented and driven to meet and/or exceed quality expectations. Must have Problem-solving skills that make results. Must demonstrate Positive behavior and attitude. Must have 2+ Years Aviation paint and/or Autobody painting experience FAA A&P License preferred-not a must with R&R Flight Control and balance experience.
