Position Summary Reporting to the Scientific Research Manager, the primary purpose of the Clinical Trial Patient Navigator (CTPN) is to independently promote and effect patient access to clinical trials by educating patients and communities and linking patients to clinical trial opportunities. The CTPN will work with the Clinical Trials Office (CTO), and the NC Hub community sites across North Carolina, including but not limited to Roanoke Chowan Community Health (RCCHC) and UNC Southeastern (SE) to identify and connect patients with providers and clinical trial opportunities within their communities and run out of UNC main campus within the community. The CTPN will be primarily responsible for two essential tasks: 1) to provide clinical trials education and link patients to research opportunities, and 2) to act as a guide for participants in the Vanguard Study who receive abnormal Multi-Cancer Detection (MCD) test results, helping them navigate the diagnostic process and connect with appropriate care and resources.

The CTPN will develop patient-centered educational materials, build and manage a database of logistical and support resources, and partner with social workers and financial counselors to address patients' individual needs.
