The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and advancing the data strategy and governance structure, with a focus on ensuring timely and trusted data delivery. This role requires a minimum of 12 years of experience in data governance and management, particularly within the asset management or insurance asset management sector. The individual will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer Team and the entire global investments team to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of data used in investment activities. Key responsibilities include executing the global data strategy, developing data governance structures, and partnering with business functions to meet data management processes that align with business requirements.
Candidates for this position should have a strong educational background, with a minimum Bachelor's degree in a related field, and an MBA or MS is a plus. The role demands a deep understanding of technology and data flow, as well as experience with a range of financial instruments including fixed income, private assets, private equity, and derivatives. Advanced skills in MS Excel, SQL, and experience with data management tools such as Python, PowerBI, and PowerAutomate are highly valued. The ideal candidate will also have a working knowledge of various financial and data management systems, and global experience, particularly with a focus on Japanese culture, is considered a significant advantage.
