Mental Health Therapist Job Description:
As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a critical role in the success of Children's Wisconsin's Mental and Behavioral Health strategy by increasing access, reducing stigma, and engaging in early detection, prevention, and education. You will provide individual, group, and family therapy to children and their families in an outpatient clinic setting, using evidence-based/informed, trauma-informed, and inclusive practices. You will actively engage the child, their family, and caregivers in treatment and recovery planning. Additionally, you will provide consultation, education, and outreach to colleagues, trainees, and the community, and participate in activities and initiatives related to the MBH strategy.

Provide individual, group, and family therapy to children and their families in an outpatient clinic setting. Use evidence-based/informed, trauma-informed, and inclusive practices. Actively engage the child, their family, and caregivers in treatment and recovery planning. Provide consultation, education, and outreach to colleagues, trainees, and the community. Participate in activities and initiatives related to the MBH strategy. Mental Health Therapist Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Social Work or related field, plus 3000 hours post Master's experience or PhD or PsyD from an APA accredited program. Must have and maintain current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Professional Counselor (LPC) from the State of Wisconsin and satisfy continuing education requirements. Preferred experience working with children and families, diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds, and trauma. Demonstrated ability to provide quality individual, group, and family therapy using Evidence-Based Practices. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with caregivers, colleagues, medical staff, and community partners. Will consider therapists in training who have relevant experience and are working on their 3,000 hours towards licensure.
