The ADC Tiger Team (ATT) is part of AWS Utility Computing (UC) focused on accelerating scaling efforts for US ADC regions by tackling key priorities and automation projects aimed at enhancing Region Reliability. As a Systems Development Engineer (SysDev), you will play a critical role in delivering impactful projects that improve the efficiency and scalability of ADC regions. You'll be part of a dedicated team (the 'Tigers') concentrating on: Automating ADC Region Operations Identifying and developing top ADC tooling priorities Implementing strategic improvements for US ADC teams and Region Reliability This role requires an active TS/SCI security clearance, and upon hiring, you will need to obtain and maintain such clearance for all relevant government agencies. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement scalable solutions to resolve complex challenges and improve the performance of ADC regions. Engage in the complete project lifecycle from ideation and scoping to implementation and deployment. Write code in various languages to enhance existing tools or create new automation solutions. Communicate project status, updates, and milestones to stakeholders, ensuring transparency throughout the process. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 1+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems. 5+ years of hands-on systems engineering experience in networking, storage systems, and operating systems. Understanding of systems engineering fundamentals. Programming experience in at least one modern language (e.g., C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby). Active US Government Security Clearance (Top Secret or above). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or CSSLP certification. 2+ years of professional software development experience. Experience programming in languages such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust. Familiarity with working in an Agile environment using Scrum methodology.
