A government program is seeking an experienced
Curam Software Engineer
to support a large-scale
Eligibility and Enrollment Member Management System . The candidate will work on the design, development, and maintenance of complex software applications using the IBM Cúram framework, with a focus on both back-end and front-end technologies. This position requires strong technical acumen, collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team environment. Daily Responsibilities Utilize IBM Cúram framework knowledge to develop new features and resolve defects. Develop technical design documents and write/test software components and APIs following project standards. Contribute to NodeJS-based front-end development using ReactJS or Angular, as well as server-side development in Python. Perform data mapping, gap analysis, and support integration with third-party systems. Coordinate with internal teams, including business analysts, architects, QA teams, and vendors. Assist in planning and executing Proof of Concepts (POCs) and technical evaluations. Ensure compliance with business and functional requirements using best practices. Participate in system performance profiling and troubleshooting of IBM Cúram OOTB and custom modules. Communicate technical concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Provide status updates and escalate issues or risks to leadership as needed. Project Environment
This is a high-visibility, multi-disciplinary team project consisting of: State personnel Subject matter experts Industry consultants Technical and quality assurance teams Systems integrators and third-party vendors Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field 4+ years of hands-on technical experience with IBM Cúram framework , including Cúram HCR and CGIS Valid Cúram Certification Proficiency with Cúram OOTB modules (Workflow, Tasks, CER Rules, Evidence Framework, IEG, Web Services) Experience with SQL (complex queries) Strong experience in at least one: Python OR NodeJS Proficiency with ReactJS/Angular and JSON Experience working in AWS environments Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum methodologies Ability to troubleshoot and profile IBM Cúram custom and OOTB code Strong written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to understand and convey technical subjects to varied audiences Excellent problem-solving and team collaboration skills Preferred Skills Knowledge of healthcare insurance processes, including Medicaid MMIS (Medicaid Management Information System) experience Experience with Django or similar Python web frameworks Education & Certification Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field Cúram Certification is required
