Project Manager - Terminal Operations Support
Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and organized Project Manager to support ongoing terminal operations and capital improvement initiatives at the Terminal. This individual will work closely with terminal partners, stakeholders, contractors, and airport tenants to ensure smooth execution of construction activities in an active terminal environment. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience with PANYNJ projects and a solid understanding of airport operations, safety protocols, and terminal logistics.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a liaison between Terminal Operations, leadership, and capital project delivery teams
Support planning and execution of capital improvements within a live terminal setting with minimal disruption to passengers and operations
Participate in project coordination meetings, track progress, and report on milestones.
Review project schedules, logistics plans, and phasing strategies for constructability and operational impacts
Monitor contractor activities for compliance with airport safety, security, and operational protocols
Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including leadership, contractors, PANYNJ, and concessionaires
Assist with field inspections, punch lists, and closeout documentation
Identify risks and mitigation strategies related to terminal access, utilities, and passenger circulation
Maintain project documentation and contribute to progress reports and status updates
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
5+ years of relevant experience in capital projects, preferably within aviation or transportation environments
Prior experience working on Port Authority of NY & NJ projects or familiarity with PANYNJ standards is strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience managing or supporting projects in operating public facilities such as terminals or transportation hubs
Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work across diverse teams.
Proficient in MS Office, scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6), and document control systems
OSHA 30, airfield access or SIDA badge eligibility preferred

Range: $110k to $150k.
