Campus Principal
Position Mission The APO is a strategic leader ensuring the smooth, safe, and student-focused daily operation of a PreK-12 campus. This role removes logistical and behavioral barriers to foster instructional excellence. The APO will oversee operations, MTSS behavior systems, discipline, safety, family engagement, athletics, student recruitment & retention-and will align operational systems to support the instructional leadership team.Support the campus leadership team with T TESS evaluations.
Position Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree in Education or related field (Required) Texas Educator Certificate (Required) Principal or Mid-Management Certification (Preferred) Minimum of 3 years of successful classroom teaching experience (Required) Leadership experience in instructional coaching or team lead capacity (Preferred) At least 3 years of experience in school leadership, operations management, or student discipline. Strong knowledge of PreK-12 student needs and family dynamics. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Student Discipline, MTSS Behavior Systems & Campus Culture
Lead implementation and monitoring of the school-wide MTSS behavior framework across all grade levels. Manage Tier 2 and Tier 3 behavior interventions and collaborate with counselors, interventionists, and teachers to support student success. Use behavior data to identify trends and refine interventions. Use data to track discipline trends and effectiveness of behavioral interventions. Train staff on classroom behavior management, de-escalation techniques, and MTSS strategies. Ensure campus-wide expectations are taught, reinforced, and celebrated to maintain a safe and positive school culture. Lead campus core team for Crisis Prevention Intervention Support the campus leadership team with TTESS evaluations.
Safety & Emergency Preparedness
Serve as campus safety lead, conducting drills, threat assessment, emergency plans, and safety audits. Coordinate with district safety teams to maintain compliance and safest practices. Collaborate with facilities, security, and district teams to ensure physical and psychological safety of all students and staff. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety mandates.
Campus Operations
Lead non-instructional systems to ensure operational efficiency across front office, facilities, technology, nutrition, and transportation. Lead daily logistics such as arrival, dismissal, transitions, lunch/recess supervision, and school-wide events. Coordinate custodial, maintenance, food service, and transportation needs. Oversee campus inventory, uniforms, field trips, and event logistics. Oversees campus special programs coordinator and ensure planning and implementation of campus assessments Oversees Destiny Care
Athletics, Games & Extracurriculars
Oversee Athletics Coordinator to ensure planning and managing extracurricular activities, student clubs, and athletics programs in partnership with coaches and sponsors. Ensure access to activities and safe environments for all grade levels.
Family Engagement
Develop onboarding materials, communication flows, and family events across all grade bands. Serve as the primary liaison for family concerns related to operations, safety, and climate Design and lead events to promote meaningful family engagement across grade bands. Serve as the point of contact for family communication and concerns related to operations, safety, and student life. Build strong partnerships with families to foster trust, transparency, and collaboration.
Student Recruitment, Attendance & Retention
Lead enrollment campaigns, family recruitment efforts, and orientation events. Analyze attendance and retention trends and design interventions to improve student persistence Oversee student enrollment efforts, re-enrollment campaigns, and withdrawal processes. Monitor attendance and chronic absenteeism, and lead strategic interventions to improve student retention and attendance. Support Principal with student recruitment events and community outreach efforts. Partner with campus registrar and Special Programs Coordinator to monitor and improve student daily attendance. Implement strategies and systems to promote student retention and Attendance through strong relationships and wraparound support.
Leadership & Collaboration
Serve on the campus leadership team and provide operational insight in school-wide planning and data reviews. Work closely with instructional leaders to align operational practices with the academic mission. Approved by AS 6/11/2025 Supervise and develop operational support staff (e.g., counselors, CCMR advisors, clerks, front office, campus registrar, Health Assistants, paraprofessionals, security, and other support staff, etc.).
CCMR Oversight
Monitor College, Career, and Military Readiness indicators and ensure students are on track for graduation requirements. Collaborate with CCMR Advisor and instructional teams to provide students with postsecondary awareness and support. Ensure compliance with TEA accountability expectations related to CCMR.
Campus Support
Serve as a key member of the campus leadership team, helping to ensure all operational and instructional initiatives are implemented with fidelity. Participate in hiring, onboarding, and supporting new employees. Ensure alignment of teacher practices with district expectations for rigor and culture. Support student discipline in partnership with the Principal.
Special Knowledge/Skills
Strong data analysis and intervention planning skills Ability to provide effective coaching and facilitate adult learning Skilled at planning and implementing high-impact professional development Effective communication, collaboration, and organization skills Familiarity with CCMR and accountability indicators under the A-F framework Proficiency with student data platforms and Microsoft Office/Google Suite CPI certification
