The Full Stack Developer (Java) works closely with other tech experts to ensure user interfaces are consistent with the overall design of the application whilst ensuring they are visually appealing and easy to use. Position is part of the Chello Technology, Operations and Development Team, works hybrid schedule and onsite work is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and actively contribute to the resolution of production issues, utilizing a range of technologies including Java, Spring Framework, Node.js, Axios, CSS, HTML5, React.js, Next.js and Material UI. Resolve production issues promptly, actively participating in operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities. Ensure the reliability and performance of systems and applications, adhering to security standards and practices with a focus on data protection. Knowledge of security compliance and operations. Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents, collaborates with engineers, architects, and/or management to gather requirements, and define optimal solutions for our customers. Create and maintain technical design documentation for all new developments and/or changes to existing systems to keep a record of the work performed. Other duties may be assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required. Three (3) years of experience in software development specializing in Java required. Distributed cloud systems experience preferred. Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. Experience in designing and implementing user interfaces for web applications using React.js or similar. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript required. Proficient in understanding cloud computing infrastructure concepts such as virtualization, networking & storage. AWS technology services experience highly desirable. Experience in working with RESTful APIs Knowledge of SDLC best practices, including DevOps. Familiarity with Agile methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills, capable of thinking strategically and acting tactically.
