Monday-Thursday 7am-6pm 4- 10 hour days (1-hour un-paid lunch)
Job Overview: We are hiring an experienced
Engineering Technician
with a strong background in cable and wire harness assembly, electronics/electrical equipment, and testing. This hands-on role requires proficiency in soldering and current certification in
J-STD-001
and
IPC/WHMA-A-620
standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and modify electrical/electronic systems, including computers, motors, circuit boards, and batteries. Perform precision soldering and repair tasks following J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and parts lists. Inspect and test assemblies, wiring, and circuits for resistance, integrity, and performance. Operate test equipment such as continuity testers to verify electrical quality. Apply end-of-wire components and sealing materials using soldering and crimping tools. Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve issues and improve assembly methods. Maintain accurate documentation of assembly and testing processes.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical/trade certification preferred). 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment. 1-3+ years of experience in electrical/electronic assembly, including wire harnesses. Current
J-STD-001
and
IPC/WHMA-A-620
certifications. Proficient in reading schematics and using soldering/crimping tools. Experience with electrical test equipment and quality control procedures. Strong attention to detail; able to work independently and in team settings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with
CMMI
and
J-STD-001C Class 3
standards. Prior experience supporting engineering or production operations. In-depth knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 wire harness assembly standards.
