Job Duties and Responsibilities

Boost Mobile is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for its Regulatory Engineering and Operations team, responsible for daily operations, maintenance, and testing of critical 911 Emergency Services. The ideal candidate will have experience testing, troubleshooting, and monitoring 911 services, with strong knowledge of wireless 911 call and text flows over LTE and 5G, as well as relevant regulations. Experience with Location-Based Services (LBS) is highly preferred. This role offers the opportunity to impact public safety and collaborate across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain the stability, performance, and compliance of Boost's 911 services

Diagnose and resolve 911 system issues; analyze logs and collaborate with teams and vendors

Support and test network enhancements, maintenance activities, and issue resolution

Maintain accurate 911 operations documentation, processes, and procedures

Participate in troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis, and recommend improvements

Contribute to 911 technology planning and define KPIs for performance and compliance

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Telecommunications, or related technical field

A minimum of 4 years of wireless engineering or operations experience

Relevant job experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical knowledge of wireless RAN engineering and, ideally, emergency and location technologies

Familiarity with FCC 911 regulations and ability to ensure compliant operations

Proven career progression with increasing responsibilities and technical growth

Strong communication and consulting skills to support cross-functional 911 initiatives

Experience with maintenance, on-call support, network changes, and KPI tracking

Background in incident management, Root Cause Analysis, and multi-project support

Desired Qualifications

Experience working with emergency service providers, Global Mobile Location Center (GMLC) providers, or public safety agencies

Experience with Location-Based Services (LBS) and location accuracy testing

Experience developing KPIs, processes, and operational workflows

Familiarity with wireless regulations and industry standards

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $158,125.00/Year
