This Hybrid role is a part of our team for a dedicated financial client, and requires on-site work 3 days per week in Charlotte, NC.
About the Role
You'll be a champion for user needs, translating insights into tangible designs and collaborating closely with product managers and engineers to bring your visions to life. If you're eager to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and user-centered design, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Design & Document:
Create compelling iterative design documentation, including detailed user journey flows, wireframes, visual design system, interaction behaviors, and precise design implementation specifications.
Advocate for UX:
Act as a strong advocate for exceptional user experience, proactively sharing best practices, fostering curiosity about customer needs, and demonstrating a deep understanding of user behaviors.
Collaborate & Iterate:
Work in close partnership with product managers and engineers through an iterative design process to conceptualize, refine, and validate innovative UX solutions.
Define & Optimize:
Contribute to defining and refining our approach to discovering, mapping, and optimizing user needs, experiences, and customer journeys.
Maintain High Standards:
Uphold an exceptionally high bar for usability, quality, and consistency by rigorously applying user-centered design principles and industry best practices.
Team Collaboration:
Actively engage in collaborative sessions with your peers, participating in design feedback, and ensuring alignment with broader product goals and initiatives.
Team Leadership:
Conduct accurate and thorough annual reviews for design team members and contribute to QBR’s
Document & Communicate:
Ensure consistency and clarity by thoroughly documenting your work, including the underlying processes and methodologies ("the whys and hows"), and effectively communicating the narrative behind your solutions.
Attention to Detail:
Understand and appreciate that the smallest details are often what transform a good product into one that users truly love.
What You'll Bring
Experience:
A minimum of
6+ years of professional user experience
in roles such as UX Architect, UX Designer, Interaction Designer, or Information Architect.
Demonstrated Expertise:
Proven and demonstrable experience in a wide range of UX design methods, best practices, deliverables, and tools.
Usability Acumen:
A strong understanding of core usability principles and techniques.
Data-Driven Design:
Hands-on experience leveraging both qualitative and quantitative data to inform and drive user flows and interactive patterns.
Accessibility Knowledge:
Demonstrated experience designing with
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
in mind, ensuring inclusive and accessible experiences for all users.
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
Presentation & Facilitation:
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, capable of effectively communicating at all levels within an organization.
Portfolio:
A compelling and robust portfolio of prototypes and designs that effectively showcase your conceptual, functional, and data-driven thinking.

Salary and Benefits:
$90,000 - $120,000 is the salary range for this position. There is flexibility based on the candidate's qualifications. This represents only a portion of the overall package.
