The Assistant Residence Manager, IRA (Individualized Residential Alternative) is responsible for assisting the Residence Manager in maintaining an effective behavior/habilitation program for adults with developmental disabilities. Also provides indirect supervision of and assistance to Direct Support Professionals assigned to the residence.
The Assistant Residence Manager, IRA demonstrates commitment to the Opengate, Inc. mission and values. In addition, this position actively participates in assigned projects and committees to enhance the agency's efforts to ensure ongoing excellence for the participants, as well as the staff who support them.
Essential Job Functions
Assists in the training of Direct Support Professionals and Lead Counselors who are assigned to the residence including new staff orientations. Conducts staff meetings as assigned. Assists to ensure that programs are being implemented correctly with corresponding daily documentation. Complete daily documentation review report and submit to Residence Manager and Lead Counselors. Supervisory follow-up with staff regarding incorrect or missing data and any other concerns. Coordinate staffing / coverage. Complete weekly schedule. Provide oversight and manage personal allowance for people served. Participate in Life Plan meetings and completion of staff action plans & monthly notes Conduct fire drills, completing documentation and reporting any fire safety issues to supervisor. Conduct coaching and supervision of assigned staff. Participate in the MOC Rotation Use electronic systems such as FIIX, ADP, Precision Care, E-Requester as needed. Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure timely and adequate repairs to the residence. Coordinates leisure schedules and monitors leisure programs in accordance with the interests and needs of the people who reside in the house. Completes and submits weekly Activity Schedule. Qualifications
High School Diploma/General Education Diploma with 1 year supervisory experience and 2 years working with I/DD population. Valid driver license Basic computer skills. Physical Requirements
This position is a non-sedentary role; requires frequent standing and walking. Able to lift up to 50 pounds and ability to turn, lift and assist individuals with movement. Why work for us?

Salary - $22.66 /hour Compensation will be commensurate with job qualifications and work experience
