$150,000 - $250,000

Overview: Client brings enterprise-grade marketing tools to small businesses-without the complexity. Their embeddable platform powers email, SMS, loyalty programs, and more for fast-growing SaaS platforms serving SMBs. Founded in 2024 and headquartered in San Francisco, Client is seed-funded with $2M, and built by alums from Gusto, Stytch, and Qualified.

Responsibilities
Build fullstack features across the marketing automation platform Design and implement REST APIs powering SMB marketing workflows Work closely with customers to integrate Pocketflows' embedded platform Develop front-end interfaces using React and TypeScript Contribute to experimentation with AI and modern tools to optimize SMB outcomes
Must-have qualifications
Top-tier university (e.g. Ivy League) with CS degree OR 5+ years software engineering at top tech companies/startups (e.g. Stripe, Plaid, Notion) OR Very active GitHub (thousands of green squares, multiple open-source projects) Junior-level: Must show strong personal initiative with portfolio and GitHub evidence Senior-level: Must have led complex, end-to-end engineering projects Backend: Open to various languages but must be open to Ruby on Rails Frontend: React or modern equivalent (Angular/JQuery not accepted)
Preferred qualifications
Ruby on Rails experience Early-stage startup experience (especially VC-backed) Fast career progression in high-growth startup environments Very active GitHub with real-world project contributions
Not a fit:
Resume shows only frontend or only backend experience with no flexibility Candidate is not open to working with Ruby on Rails Resume includes only Angular or outdated toolkits Candidate has multiple short stints without reasonable context Candidate has only worked at large companies for extended time without startup exposure Resume is overloaded with buzzwords or technology lists without depth
