ELFHCC is seeking a
full-time Behavioral Health Therapist (40 hours/week)
to join our growing team of providers committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to individuals and families across Pittsburgh's communities.
Role Overview
The Behavioral Health Therapist provides 1:1 counseling and psychosocial support to patients experiencing mental health challenges including trauma, addiction, and abuse. You'll also advocate for patients and connect them with essential community resources, all within a supportive, collaborative care team environment.
Core Responsibilities
Provide individual counseling to patients with diverse behavioral health needs
Conduct psychosocial assessments covering social, cultural, and clinical factors
Develop and implement care plans tailored to patient preferences and needs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and referrals
Maintain regular patient contact to assess progress and evolving needs
Document care accurately and in compliance with regulations and best practices
Qualifications
Current LCSW or LPC licensure in Pennsylvania required
Experience with trauma, abuse, and chemical dependency
Comfortable working with underserved and diverse populations
Prior healthcare or community health experience a plus
Bilingual/Spanish-speaking candidates strongly preferred
Retention Bonus
$5,000 after completion of the
first year of tenure
Additional $5,000 awarded after the
second year
