IT Systems Engineer

Overview:
Join a high-impact, mission-focused team supporting advanced engineering tools within a secure, dynamic environment. This is a customer-facing, hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong IT or systems background who's eager to grow into more complex engineering domains. You'll work alongside an experienced mentor, gaining exposure to enterprise systems and tools such as IBM DOORS Next Generation.
Responsibilities: • Analyze system requirements and develop solutions for complex application and integration challenges • Perform system administration, configuration, and maintenance • Support tool integration, testing, and performance optimization • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-user support and technical guidance • Develop test plans, test scripts, and procedures for tool validation and troubleshooting
Requirements
Basic Qualifications: • 6+ years of experience in IT systems, with strengths in: • Application servers, databases, SSL, proxies, and infrastructure • Application development and project lifecycle understanding • Systems engineering concepts and technical problem solving • Customer-facing technical support • Database querying and reporting • Hands-on experience with enterprise databases, particularly Oracle and/or IBM DB2
Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with IBM DOORS, DOORS Next Generation (NG), or related requirements management tools • Exposure to engineering environments within government or defense projects • Familiarity with IBM's ELM (Engineering Lifecycle Management) suite
