Description
MISSION
To ensure safe and efficient field tire repair and service work with tire tracking data surveys, change cards, inventory of parts needed, customer tires, tread wear characteristics, to ensure reports are accurate and actions taken provide best tire life.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Dismount and mount tires on mining equipment on mine sites using the proper tools and safe procedures Disassemble and reassemble tires onto wheels Operate hydraulic boom arm Inflate tires correctly for the size and ply Replace valve stems and remove puncturing objects Repair tires, as needed Keep the assigned service truck, tools and equipment clean and maintained, and report any problems to the Account Manager Ensure all site data is captured and provided to the tire tracking data group following their issued schedule. Maintain standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance of work area. Purcell Tire tests for the presence of THC in all drug screenings for this position, due to the safety-sensitive nature of the job and the potential for injury or death when a tire is installed improperly, or a safety-related mechanical issue is not properly conveyed to a customer. It is a bona fide occupational qualification for service technicians to be unimpaired, so the Company will continue testing for THC and other drugs under the safety-sensitive exceptions allowed by your state.
