Job Description ECU Health About The East Carolina Heart Institute at ECU Health Medical CenterEast Carolina Heart Institute at ECU Health Medical Center is the region's preferred facility for cardiovascular care. The six-story tower houses clinical space, diagnostic services and cardiovascular operating rooms, including a hybrid operating room. It features 120 beds for patients undergoing procedures for cardiac medicine, cardiac surgery and vascular surgery.Position Summary The Assistant Nurse Manager-OR (ANM-OR) is a professional nurse who demonstrates expertise in utilizing the concepts of participative management. The ANM-OR has the responsibility and authority for assisting in the management of the department. Among these responsibilities are: coordinating, evaluating improving nursing care and assisting the department leadership in promoting safe, cost effective, quality patient care on a daily basis. The ANM-OR works within the framework of ECU Health / ECU Health Medical Center.Minimum Requirements College Degree (4 yrs) BSN required and MSN preferredNC Registered Nurse required, CNOR preferred, with at least 1 year of progressive leadership experience preferred. 2 years of recent OR clinical experience with 1 year in OR specialty required3 to 5 years of OR clinical experience with 2 years in OR specialty preferredOther Information This is a full-time, 40 hours per week positionShift: Days - Monday-Friday 8 hour shifts. Clinical and Administrative time during these hours.
