Job description: We are seeking an experienced OpenShift/Kubernetes Engineer to join our infrastructure and platform engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, managing, and maintaining scalable and resilient OpenShift/Kubernetes environments, while supporting virtualization migrations and automating infrastructure operations.
Key Responsibilities: Deploy, configure, and manage OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters on Linux platforms, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance. Integrate and maintain object storage solutions for containerized workloads. Automate infrastructure provisioning and VM/container migrations using Ansible, Terraform, and shell scripting. Utilize KubeVirt to support virtualization workloads and assist in migrating legacy VMs to modern containerized environments. Monitor system health and performance; troubleshoot and optimize across Kubernetes and Linux layers. Implement and manage basic networking within Kubernetes (e.g., services, ingress controllers, DNS configurations). Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure smooth CI/CD and infrastructure operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Linux systems administration. Proficient in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and shell scripting. Experience with KubeVirt or similar virtualization platforms. Familiarity with object storage systems like Ceph,. Good understanding of Kubernetes networking, including ingress, services, and DNS. Solid troubleshooting and system performance tuning skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in cloud-native migration strategies and hybrid environments. Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), Red Hat OpenShift, or Linux administration. Exposure to monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
