Full time; Monday through Friday with rotating weekends. Must be able to work various shifts including 1st and 2nd shifts with open availability between the hours of 6:30am-7:30pm. Job Summary The Assistant Director of Environmental Services will assist the Director with managing all EVS operational needs at St. Vincent hospital Kokomo, a 119 bed hospital, particularly by helping the department to achieve established objectives, standards, policies and procedures within federal, state and local regulations. They will assist with leading, training, and developing a team of about 20 associates. Key Responsibilities:
Coordinates the tasks of the subordinate Supervisory and Management team. Carries out daily schedules and fulfills all customer needs. Assists with inspections and evaluates physical condition of facility. Attends regular staff meetings and communicates with members of other departments to coordinate operation activities. Carries out major projects, assuring that staff perform their duties and have the essential supplies. Maintains excellent relations with residents, Client and all community departments. Additional duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of management experience. Environmental services or housekeeping experience preferably in a hospital or healthcare related environment. Excellent customer services skills and experiences. Strong work ethic, drive, and initiative for quality and customer service. Ability to work well in stressful situations and a fast paced environment. Excellent administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to follow-through. Excellent written and verbal communication. Contract-managed service experience is desirable.
