Electrical Engineer – Project Management Track
Are you an early-career electrical engineer ready to take the next step? At Asplundh Engineering Services (AES), we’re looking for a driven and collaborative individual who’s excited to grow into a project management role while applying their technical skills in real-world engineering projects.
In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience managing multiple projects, working directly with clients and cross-functional teams, and contributing to the design and delivery of critical infrastructure. You’ll be supported by experienced mentors and exposed to a wide range of responsibilities—from proposal development and budgeting to engineering design and quality control.

This is a remote position, but the candidate must be located in Georgia.
Job Description:
Manage multiple projects with varying team members
Work with Clients, Business Development Staff, Managers and Engineers to coordinate project designs
Work with existing clients and new prospects to identify business opportunities
Prepare engineering proposals and fee estimates
Prepare management reports for internal and external use
Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and personnel
Computer Aided Drafting and engineering quality control
Utilize basic engineering principles and practical design solutions for scope development
Analyzes data to determine solution such as installation of alternate methods and procedures, changes in processing methods and practices
Work with sub-consultant(s) to coordinate trades
Attend job meetings & coordinate activities as required
Attend training as requested to further enhance your duties
Overnight Business Travel at times may be required at times (
Complete and submit weekly paperwork (e.g. Timesheets, Expense Reports, etc.)
Develop one-line diagrams, control schematics, and electrical & instrument diagrams (E&IDs)
Requirements: Clear understanding of medium & high voltage, distribution, transmission and protective relaying systems
Exceptional understanding of medium to high voltage, and substation design
Great ability to read and interpret short circuit and protective device coordination studies
Experience in electrical equipment specification and procurement.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering preferred with 3+ years hands-on engineering experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Proven experience communicating effectively with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
PMP certification is a plus; interest in pursuing PMP or formal project management training is highly desirable
