EXPERIENCED DIE CUT OPERATOR
Department: Die-Cutting
Location: Lakewood, WA
Position Status: Full Time, Hourly
Position Location: Onsite
Schedule: Swing Shift
Salary: $23 - $34 Depending on Experience
ABOUT THE POSITION
This position is responsible for running the Die Cut machines. This includes machine operation, setup, scheduled preventative and minor machine maintenance/repair, product quality, and general housekeeping, sanitation, and documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Run equipment at established rates.
Continuously monitor machine performance, clear jams, perform quick change at the feeder, and document any variables that may cause machine slowdown.
Maintain production schedule to meet cost, quality, and customer service goals.
Complete required tooling setups in accordance with best practices established by the department and resolve tooling issues during production run.
Inspect product quality and make necessary modifications at the cutter.
Perform equipment/machine operation inspections, including examining the cutter for defects.
Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Related Experience:
Required experience operating and performing preventative and minor maintenance on a platen die cutter or equivalent equipment.
Forklift certification and experience preferred.
Required Competencies:
Knowledge of machine operations, mechanical systems, and electronic machine controls
Ability to operate manual hand jack and electric pallet jack
Result orientated, accountable, critical thinker, and problem solver
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a face-paced environment
Physical Demands:
Frequent reaching/stretching, bending, twisting, pulling/pushing, and stooping as required to service the machine
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
