We are seeking a Level 2 Route Switch Network Engineer with Network OT experience to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure with a strong focus on routing and switching. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco (or equivalent) routing and switching platforms, along with deep troubleshooting abilities, network optimization expertise, and a proactive approach to network performance and security.
This candidate must have OT Network experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Implementation:
Design and deploy Layer 2/Layer 3 network solutions, including routers, switches, and associated hardware. Configure and manage routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP in both enterprise and data center environments.
Switching Technologies:
Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, trunking, STP, EtherChannel, and spanning tree technologies.
Network Operations & Troubleshooting:
Monitor and analyze network performance; proactively resolve/troubleshoot complex issues related to latency, routing loops, and connectivity issues. Provide Level 3 escalation support for critical issues and participate in on-call rotations for escalated network incidents.
Security & Compliance:
Collaborate with security teams to enforce network security policies, firewalls, and ACLs. Ensure secure OT network practices are followed in substations and remote sites.
Documentation & Collaboration:
Maintain detailed network diagrams, configurations, and documentation. Work cross-functionally with project managers, vendors, and other engineering teams to ensure smooth network operations.
Upgrades & Maintenance:
Conduct network upgrades and patching in a controlled, documented manner. Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery capabilities within the network infrastructure.
This candidate must have OT Network experience.
