Job Overview A Telecom Foreman is responsible for safely managing production teams at M.C. Dean's manufacturing facility, Modular Mission Critical (MMC) in Ruther Glen, VA. The role requires attention to detail to ensure projects receive quality products that comply with drawings while maintaining schedules and budgets. The ideal candidate has experience installing equipment using hand and power tools, understands telecom systems, blueprints, and standards. Telecom Foremen are full-time employees with benefits. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Safe use of hand tools and power tools Wearing required PPE Following safety policies and procedures Participating in daily safety and work briefings Installing various types of low voltage cable Managing projects with 5 or more personnel across multiple locations Consulting with management and supervisory staff on work procedures and issues Scheduling projects to meet deadlines Interpreting plans and specifications Knowledge of BICSI and TIA/EIA standards for installation and termination Terminating, testing, troubleshooting low voltage cabling (fiber optics, Cat 5, Cat 6) Fabricating pathways, cable trays, and telecommunications grounding systems Training and supervising production teams to ensure quality and adherence to drawings Maintaining a clean work environment and securing tools and materials Tracking fabrication activities and ensuring quality control Qualifications / Skills Sets / Expectations: 8+ years experience in the commercial communications industry High School diploma or GED Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record Ability to pass background checks and drug tests Reliable transportation Ability to pass a telecommunication knowledge test Punctuality, teamwork, and safety awareness Proper attire (long pants and shirts covering shoulders) Provision of basic tools from the company list before starting Physical Abilities: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet and climb ladders and scaffolds Routine physical activities including walking, climbing, lifting, and reaching Good vision and hearing, ability to communicate effectively in English Desired Skills: BICSI Technician certification (willingness to obtain) Manufacture and fiber certifications Experience with Microsoft Office applications
