Our client, a leading technology provider, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the IT department supporting critical network operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and a customer-oriented mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:

Onsite - Santa Clara, CA

Duration:

6 - 18 Months on W2

Pay:

$26 - $29/hour

Regular Business Hours (Mo-Fr)

What's the Job?

Prepare, stage, set up, and perform

startups and shutdowns of IT equipment

, following specific instructions and safety protocols.

Conduct

post-execution quality checks

to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling.

Diagnose and

troubleshoot hardware issues

, quickly identifying causes and performing

break-fix repairs

on faulty components.

Decommission hardware

for system refreshes, including

memory upgrades and OS rebuilds

.

Monitor systems for

equipment failures or errors

and respond to program error messages effectively.

What's Needed?

Computer Science majors

OR

CompTIA A+ or Server+ certifications

.

Experience as a Data Center Technician

, with

hardware break-fix responsibilities

.

Previous experience with Geek Squad computer repair or similar computer repair technician roles

.

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Basic knowledge of

computer hardware, servers, and components

.

2-4 years of experience supporting

IT equipment

or related technology.

Basic understanding of

Microsoft Office applications

(Outlook, Excel, Word).

Flexibility to work

non-standard business hours

, including weekends and/or holidays.
