Position Overview:
We are seeking a
System Cybersecurity Engineer II
with an active
Secret Clearance
to support operations at
Hanscom Air Force Base (AFB) in Bedford, MA . The successful candidate will ensure the
confidentiality, integrity, and availability
of systems, networks, and data by planning, analyzing, developing, implementing, and maintaining robust information security programs, policies, and tools. Key Responsibilities:
Lead
system/application Authorization and Accreditation (A&A)
efforts, ensuring compliance with
DoD and Air Force policies
(e.g.,
Risk Management Framework (RMF) ). Develop and recommend
security policies, procedures , and tools to safeguard systems, networks, and data against unauthorized access. Conduct
risk and vulnerability assessments
to identify protection needs and mitigate threats. Perform
security evaluations, audits, and reviews ; recommend
contingency plans
and
disaster recovery procedures . Collaborate on
network/systems design
to integrate security best practices. Investigate and
preserve evidence
for computer crime prosecutions. Serve as
ISSE, ISSM, and ISSO
per
AFI 33-200, AFI 33-210, AFMAN 33-285 , and
DoDI 8510.01
for assigned systems. Ensure strict adherence to
information security policies
across all IT services. Required Qualifications:
Active Secret Security Clearance . Education/Experience :
BA/BS + 10 years
of cybersecurity experience (
5 years DoD );
OR MA/MS + 5 years
(
3 years DoD );
OR 15 years
of directly related experience (
5 years DoD ) with relevant certifications.
DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II (or higher)
certification (e.g.,
CISSP, CISM ). Hands-on experience with
LogRhythm
and
Risk Management Framework (RMF) . Lab/SCIF management
experience ( preferred ).
