Position Summary : Tigua Inc. is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to join our team and support our construction projects. This role offers a unique opportunity for hands-on experience in the construction and engineering field, working closely with our experienced Program Managers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Managers in coordinating and overseeing projects from inception to post-occupancy.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to gain practical knowledge of processes and techniques, under the supervision of a Project Manager.
- Support project planning and scheduling activities, including resource allocation and logistics coordination.
- Assist in reviewing project documentation, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, addendums, and contracts.
- Collaborate with the Program Managers to identify and mitigate project risks and ensure compliance with local, state, or regulatory agencies.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including data entry, document management, and correspondence.
- Engage in learning opportunities and mentorship sessions with the Program Managers to enhance skills and knowledge in the construction and engineering field.
- Liaise between contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Oversee processes, including developing written process documents, and keeping detailed logs.

Communication:
- Clear communication is vital as the Assistant Project Manager will interact with various stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and clients.
- Must be able to convey information timely and effectively to alleviate possible project delays.
Organizational Abilities:
- Efficiently manage documentation to prevent project delays.
- Multitask and prioritize to meet critical deadlines.
Problem-Solving Skills:
- Analyze challenges and adapt to changing circumstances with effective solutions.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Proficiency in cost estimating and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Time Management:
- Identify and meet project milestones and deadlines.
Teamwork and Leadership:
- Collaborate with diverse teams and motivate others effectively.
Attention to Detail:
- Prevent costly oversights by maintaining precision in all activities.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate risks such as safety hazards, delays, or budget overruns.
Software Proficiency:
- Familiarity with project management tools like Microsoft Project, Procore, E-Builder, or Primavera.
Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant program (e.g., Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, etc.).
- MBA
- 5 years of progressive leadership experience in managing multi-million-dollar operations.
- Strong background in project management, agile methodologies, process improvement, and leadership.
- Proven expertise in process development, contracting, and knowledge management.
- Strong ability to liaise effectively between various organizational levels
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications and project management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement efficient systems and processes.
- Experience in government contracting or related fields is highly desirable.
- Experience reviewing and approving the work of project managers, engineers, support staff, and contract administrative personnel.
Location: Onsite White Sands, NM
Travel:
30% required
Physical and Technical Environment:
Must be able to lift 10 pounds at times.
Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
