IT Specialist (Journeyman)
to join our team of professionals in support of the USMC MCICOM G-4 Supply Services Support Directorate in the area of Food Service Support and Marine Corps Food Management Information System (MCFMIS) Services.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
Support the software's ability to operate within multiple program environments (e.g. Windows, Citrix, and MCEN Organizational Units). Support shall include maintaining technical support for technical refreshes, patches, and updates for Windows and technology upgrades as mandated by the USMC IA and DOD. The Government will provide the Contractor, access to required Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), Program of Record (POR) Organizational Units (OU) within the Marine Corps Enterprise Network's (MCEN) Active Directory domain. The Government will provide the Contractor 180 days-notice prior to any technical refreshes of Windows and Oracle and any technology upgrades. Perform as the liaison between the MCFMIS software vendor(s) and Marine Corps Information Assurance (IA) community for security compliance, DOD policies, and site infrastructure to support the deployment and sustainment of the MCFMIS software components. Work with POS help desk to provide support for the MCFMIS, Hospitality Suite, and POS application. Serve as the liaison between other MCICOM Contractors and Marine Corps Information Assurance (IA) community ensuring security compliance, compliance with all DOD and Marine Corps policies, and site infrastructure is working properly to support the deployment and sustainment of the MCFMIS software and Point of Sales hardware components. Ensure all Marine Corps IA requirements for MCFMIS are identified and met by coordinating With Headquarters, regional and local command Information Technology (IT) centers. Assist the MCFMIS Program in identifying and complying with security principles of the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) and its interfacing components of MCFMIS on the network. Assist with updates to the Risk Management Framework accreditation package (Authority to Operate - ATO) for MCFMIS systems annually or as needed. Attend the MCFMIS Configuration Team Meetings in accordance with ATO. Attend site visits in support of MCFMIS Point of Sale (POS) system updates, upgrades, and software related repairs (to include software reinstalls, patches and updates as well as MCEN Operational System (OS) reimaging). Site visit support shall be provided at multiple locations simultaneously. Document and track all MCFMIS and MCEN process requirements to ensure Quality of Service, Continuity of Operations, and Retainment of Knowledge Base Performance. Conduct onsite visits for MCFMIS POS system updates, upgrades, and software related repairs (within 24 hours of receipt and validation of critical Program Trouble Requests (PTR)). Education
Four (4) to ten (10) years of relative experience and a minimum Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree. Experience
Must be able to travel both CONUS and OCONUS as required/necessary. Must be skilled in developing executive-level correspondence and management programs involving executive-level participants. Must have proficiency in briefing and communication skills to senior Military (e.g., O-6 level and above), Military Commanders and their staff, organizational leaders, and peers. Must have experience working with a diverse and often conflicting group of stakeholders from a cross section of all staff divisions/efforts. USMC or other Military service experience a HUGE PLUS. Clearance
Must be a United States Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance; active DoD clearance highly desired.
