Qualifications
Monitors the reliability of network infrastructure and operating systems across multiple platforms. Diagnoses and repairs issues. Typically requires a 2-year degree and 1-5 years of experience. Entry-level scripting experience in JavaScript, Perl, Python, or other scripting languages. Experience includes developing ad hoc reports or network maintenance tools. Network Operations Specialist
The Network Operations Specialist provides 24x7 network management and analysis for the FTTP voice and data network. Responsibilities include: Evaluation of FTTP network performance data Managing trouble tickets, OASIS flash management, and processing escalations Initial fault isolation, triage, and technical support to CO and outside plant technicians Participating in staffing a 24-hour FTTP Network Management Center to ensure customer satisfaction, network quality, and cost efficiency Resolving network issues and outages, and implementing performance improvements Interacting with National Operations, Network Operations, and National Services to restore customer-impacting conditions The candidate must be flexible to work any of the three shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts, based on business needs. Knowledge of TDM, VOIP, broadband, gigabit networking, and VOD technologies is required. Familiarity with routing protocols and internal system tools such as vRepair, IVAPP, TACACS, INMS, OASIS, and MASTARS is highly desirable. #J-18808-Ljbffr
