is actively seeking a dedicated and qualified Certified Network Cable Technician (Mid to Senior Level) for the Redstone Arsenal located in Huntsville, AL.
HOURS OF PERFORMANCE:
40 hours per week. Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
About the Role: We are currently seeking experienced
Certified Network Cable Technicians
to support communication infrastructure projects. These full-time roles are ideal for candidates with a strong background in network cabling, hardware installation, and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) environments. You will be involved in designing and deploying LAN infrastructures that meet the highest industry standards and support advanced defense-related testing environments.
Technicians will work closely with the Hardware Team Lead to carry out tasks such as structured cabling, wiring diagram development, AV and communications systems installation and repair, and status reporting via ticketing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot copper and fiber network cabling Support network and AV infrastructure in HWIL environments Perform installations under raised floor systems and lift/install IT equipment Use tools of the trade (crimpers, cutters, voltage meters, etc.) Build and maintain wiring diagrams, documentation, and briefings Participate in team meetings and communicate updates to leadership Adapt quickly to changes and solve problems independently
Required Qualifications: Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI) 4-15 years of relevant experience in network cabling and systems installation Hands-on experience with fiber and copper cabling Understanding of AV systems and network voice communication systems Knowledge of hardware systems in HWIL settings Ability to work in a high-paced, mission-critical environment Strong communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications:
ITIL Certification CTS-I Certification Security+ Certification Experience working in Department of Defense (DoD) environments or secured spaces Experience with digital AV systems Familiarity with ticketing systems like Manage Engine, Remedy, or ServiceNow Security Clearance:
Active Secret Clearance required
