Senior Consultant-7+yrs, Insurity C1 Senior BA
Job description: Need to bring thought leadership level thinking and NOT JUST BE CONFIGURING. They must have an analytical mindset, ensuring that Ryan is staying on track with mergers, staying on scope, learn and making sure the teams are following the Ryan's standards, escalating to Courtney when they get off track. Insurity Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of one or more core Insurity modules: Policy Administration, Billing, Claims, Reinsurance, Analytics, Underwriting.
Familiarity with Insurity's configuration tools and frameworks (e.g., how to set up products, rules, workflows, rates within the platform). Understanding of how different Insurity modules integrate with each other. Insurity Implementation/Configuration Experience: Hands-on experience in configuring Insurity's COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) solutions to meet specific client requirements. Experience with upgrades, migrations, or new implementations of Insurity products. Data Understanding (within Insurity context): Ability to understand Insurity's underlying data structures and how business data is stored and retrieved. Experience with data mapping for integrations or migrations involving Insurity. Core P&C Concepts: Thorough understanding of the P&C insurance lifecycle: quoting, policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, claims (FNOL, investigation, adjustment, settlement), billing, collections. Knowledge of various P&C lines of business (e.g., Commercial Auto, General Liability, Commercial Property, Workers' Compensation, Personal Auto, Homeowners).
Insurance Products: Familiarity with common insurance coverages, policy types, clauses, and terms.
Regulatory & Compliance: Understanding of P&C insurance regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., state-specific rules, reporting obligations) and how they impact system configuration.
Underwriting & Rating: Basic understanding of underwriting principles, rating factors, and how these are applied in insurance systems.
IV. Technical & Tooling Skills : SQL (Structured Query Language): Intermediate to advanced SQL skills for data analysis, querying databases, and validating data within the Insurity system. Microsoft Office Suite: Expertise in Excel (data analysis, pivot tables), Word (documentation), PowerPoint (presentations), Visio (process flows, diagrams). Project Management Methodologies: Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and/or Waterfall methodologies. Experience working in an Agile team is highly valued. Requirements Management Tools: Proficiency with tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar for managing requirements, user stories, and backlogs. Reporting & BI Tools (Nice to Have): Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., SQL Server Reporting Services, Tableau, Power BI) for analyzing insurance data. API Basics (Nice to Have): A basic understanding of APIs (RESTful, SOAP) for integrating Insurity with other systems.
