Senior Structural Engineer - Industrial Water / Wastewater
Our industry-leading client is searching for a Senior Structural Engineer - Industrial Water / Wastewater for its growing Water Practice. The Senior Structural Engineer will lead project teams to create world-class designs for new projects, alterations and redevelopments on a variety of industrial and municipal water/wastewater projects. Responsibilities : Working in a variety of markets ranging from power, manufacturing, pipeline, aviation, government and military facilities Work on Typical structures including steel pipe racks, steel supports, concrete foundations, vaults and wet wells, tanks (filters, aeration basins, clarifiers, etc.), and pump stations. Design of new structures, condition assessments of existing facilities and recommendations for rehabilitation is expected. The Senior Structural Engineer will lead the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting structural plans according to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs. Coordination with field personnel to resolve design-related installation issues, calculations, field inspections and testing of materials. Leads field inspections, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients. Key requirements: Bachelor of Science in Civil or related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program with a structural focus. Structural Engineering License (SE) preferred. 5 years of structural engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred. Professional Engineering License (PE). Strong knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures. Strong knowledge of structural design codes (e.g., IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE7, PIP). Strong computer skills in structural analysis programs (e.g., RISA, AutoCAD, BIM, Revit and Tekla) Demonstrated critical thinking skills, and the ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
