Test Systems Integration Engineer
to support a cutting-edge aerospace and defense program in
Chelmsford, MA . This full-time contract opportunity involves developing and executing system integration and test solutions for high-reliability electronics and RF/Microwave subsystems. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in LabVIEW/TestStand, system-level testing, and collaborative problem-solving in mission-critical environments.
Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field Experience using
NI LabVIEW and/or TestStand
for test automation and instrumentation control Strong skills in analyzing and resolving technical issues Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for documentation, project status reports, and planning Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks independently Strong written and verbal communication skills Effective team collaboration in multi-disciplinary environments Capable of working with minimal supervision to deliver test and integration solutions Preferred Qualifications:
9+ years of relevant professional experience in test engineering or system integration Subject matter expertise in
Radio Frequency (RF)
or
Microwave systems Proven experience developing complex test programs using NI LabVIEW/TestStand Familiarity with electrical measurement equipment and techniques (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.) Background in generating block diagrams, test documentation, and hardware interface drawings Skilled in identifying and documenting hardware discrepancies Experience with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical findings and lead test status reviews Ability to work cross-functionally across design, test, manufacturing, and systems teams Key Responsibilities:
Plan, implement, and maintain system integration and test solutions for both in-house and COTS/GOTS components Write and execute test plans, procedures, and schedules for electronic subsystems and full systems Analyze system requirements and translate them into test specifications Conduct regression and discrepancy testing, provide test reports, and validate test results Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure test solutions meet technical, cost, and schedule constraints Contribute to the design and documentation of test hardware and interfaces Identify testability gaps early and provide input into system architecture
