About the Role
This self-directed position participates in the planning, development, implementation and support of clinical information systems. Functions independently, performs analysis, testing and implementation of procedures on systems to solve complex problems. Develops testing strategies according to system build and downstream system requirements. Maintains project plans and assists with the development of detailed training programs and materials. Ensures that systems are functioning under the guidance of acceptable University policies and procedures and meets all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do Provides analysis, design and support of hospital systems, including testing, training, implementation and on-going support. Documents, communicates and assists in problem determination and resolution. Updates and maintains detailed project plans. Interacts with end users, vendors and other related areas to gather requirements and compile data. Assists in the installation of software and/or hardware systems. Works in concert with other HST/IS&T Departments pertaining to the planning and implementation of systems to ensure that HST/IS&T standards are met. Develops and maintains detailed documentation as it applies to training manuals, build documents, decision documents, etc., as required for any assigned projects. Assists in the development and delivery of effective training for the user community and increases proper system usage by users. Performs technical resource planning and support. Recommends project team organization to ensure successful implementation. Works with the user community to deliver satisfactory project level service. Provides input to the formulation of departmental policies and procedures. Is knowledgeable in and adheres to policies and procedures related to implementing and supporting hospital systems. Qualifications
What You'll Bring
Required:
Bachelor's Degree, with preference for a health-related discipline (Nursing, Pharmacy, etc.), Computer Science, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, Science, or related field. Three (3) years of experience in information systems with preference given to candidates from a patient care environment. Must complete certification on an Epic application specified by management within 6 months of training. Ability to maintain and assist in managing project work plans. Demonstrated interpersonal skills working in a service-oriented environment. Effective written and oral communications a must. Established organizational and problem-solving skills are required. Preferred:
Direct experience with electronic medical records is preferred. Prior Epic experience is highly desirable. Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements. Additional relevant experience, or clinical expertise, may be substituted for information systems experience What We Offer

Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is PS/30S: Min. $88,646 Mid. $107,141 Max. $127,834 per year, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
