The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is responsible for initiating and coordinating quality-related information from production, service, and process improvement activities. The QA Analyst is responsible for publishing reports using statistical techniques and is involved in quality improvement projects. Scope of Responsibilities
Prepare reporting to provide insight into quality and food safety metrics for the Quality department and suppliers Verify the cascading and adherence of all corporate food safety and quality policies across assigned locations Maintain strong professional relationships across all locations supported and internal teams to enable responsive partnerships Ensure products are produced according to Ghirardelli standards and address any discrepancies with internal/external parties Communicate with internal and external team to ensure timely and effective problem resolution and go-forward action plan Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving activities utilizing Lean Manufacturing tools as needed Perform and oversee analysis and recommend appropriate analytic, statistic, and data visualization methods, resources, and tools, act as SME for assigned programs Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and accountability in a self-directed manner Maintain, refine and improve processes to meet customer requirements Develop and improve documentation Provide support for product trials, with data analysis and specification recommendation Perform other duties as assigned
Specific Knowledge & Skills
Bachelor's Degree (Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or closely related field of study) Knowledge of quality systems (PCQI, GMP, HACCP, FSMA, GFSI, Auditing) - certifications preferred 2+ years quality experience in food manufacturing Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, specifically in using functions, pivot tables, and data analysis Must be proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint Must have strong organizational skills and be able to balance various tasks/projects Must have strong verbal and written communication skills Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills Must have a high level of ethics, integrity, judgment, and confidentiality Must have a valid driver's license Salary Range 68,000-85,000
