Contract Length: 12 months
Hours per week: ~40 hours
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize Hamilton automation methods (Venus 4 or 6; preference for Venus 6).
Translate bench-based assays into scalable, automated workflows.
Execute thorough method testing with attention to liquid handling parameters (e.g., pipetting accuracy, mixing efficiency, plate formats).
Troubleshoot automation protocols to resolve hardware/software and fluid handling issues.
Support assay validation on automation platforms and contribute to quality control efforts.
Generate clear, well-documented protocols, reports, and records consistent with internal standards and regulatory expectations.
Collaborate with cross-functional scientific teams while maintaining the ability to work independently.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field.
Hands-on experience with Hamilton automation systems (Venus software; strong preference for Venus 6).
Demonstrated experience in translating manual assays to automated methods.
Strong troubleshooting skills and methodical approach to problem-solving in automated workflows.
Familiarity with general laboratory operations, sample handling, and liquid class optimization.
Understanding of documentation practices and report generation.
Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.

Pay rate: $57.69 - $69.71 per hour (~$120,000-$145,000 annual), depending on experience and skill level
