The

Director of Residential Services

maintains a high-quality program to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This person is responsible for supporting the team with day-to-day operations and challenges to achieve programmatic goals.

Starting Salary: $57,500.00 per year

Responsibilities:

Lead and train the team to support programmatic initiatives, goals, daily routines, and the unique needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities Manage team performance through effective communication, training, performance management, staff meetings, and employee recognition Manage staff schedules and ensure shifts are adequately staffed Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of department and services performed Assist with the development of current and future programs including residential supports, personalized supports, supported employment, and person-centered planning Monitor and maintain the residential budget Prepare required statistical, financial, and service reports as needed Develop and update Individual Support Plans (ISP)/Person-Centered Plans (PCP)/ Life Plan with an interdisciplinary team to include any concerns, observations, and behavioral developments Ensure individuals are supported per their ISP/PCP/Life Plan including medication management, meal planning, and behavior management Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely Monitor the finances of individuals ensuring purchases are approved and accounted for with documentation Monitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concerns May conduct programmatic investigations Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned Employees must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or GED with three years of relevant experience Bachelor’s degree preferred Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record Complete all state and agency required training per state guidelines Team oriented with demonstrated leadership experience Experience with problem solving against multiple priorities Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving support Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent time management skills Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing Why Community Options?
