Responsibilities
The Leave and Accommodation Specialist plays a critical role in fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace by guiding leaders through the accommodations and leave management process. This role acts as a liaison between external vendors and internal stakeholders and ensures that employees receive effective, reasonable accommodations that enable them to perform the essential functions of their roles while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, including EEOC and Title I of the ADA. The Leave and Accommodation Specialist manages the religious accommodation process including administration of the employee request documentation, coordination of the interactive process and partnership with leadership on reasonable adjustments to a work requirement that will allow the employee to comply with their religious beliefs. Key Accountabilities: Maintains reasonable communication with employees on leave to facilitate smooth and timely return to work; relays communication between employees and their managers during leave within reason. Coordinates with leadership to understand accommodations requests, including religious accommodation requests. Collaborates with vendors and internal teams to coordinate specialized equipment, technology or workplace adjustments. Ensures compatibility of accommodations with existing systems, policies and procedures. Delivers exemplary customer service to associates, leaders and HR Managers.
Qualifications
Required: One year in human resources or performing administrative work Bachelor Degree Desired: Three years in human resources administration working with leave management or ADA accommodations
