Lead Engineering Director

to guide its multidisciplinary engineering team in harnessing advanced technologies to enhance U.S. DoD counter-WMD and hardened facility defeat capabilities. This role involves innovative analysis, modeling, and simulations of critical processes and infrastructures to identify vulnerabilities and potential defeat strategies. The Lead Engineering Director will spearhead innovations in existing processes by integrating Building Information Modeling (BIM), Modeling and Simulation (M&S) tools, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML). The selected candidate will define and execute the technical vision and strategy, provide leadership and mentorship, and drive innovation by evaluating and incorporating emerging technologies into the production workflow, ultimately enhancing product fidelity and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging exploration of new technologies and methodologies in building information management, modeling and simulation, and vulnerability identification.

Collaborate with the program management team to make critical decisions, ensure the quality of engineering solutions, and supervise requirements development.

Work with the BIM Coordinator to develop and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and workflows, ensuring strict adherence to the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).

Oversee the integration of BIM models across various disciplines (architecture, structural, MEP) and facilitate interdisciplinary coordination.

Collaborate closely with the Chief Software Architect to define engineering and modeling requirements essential for software development and the incorporation of AI/ML into workflows.

Partner with the Chief Scientist to identify modeling and simulation needs and oversee the development and implementation of techniques to analyze complex, interconnected systems.

Engage with Engineering Production Leads and Teams to understand and optimize production workflows, ensuring annual production goals are met or exceeded.

Required Security Clearance: MUST possess an active TS/SCI with polygraph, or TS/SCI with the ability to successfully achieve a polygraph clearance.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education: Master's degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, plumbing, or controls) with 15+ years of relevant experience, or a Doctorate in a related field with 13+ years of relevant experience. Background should include multidisciplinary exposure with technical and personnel management responsibilities.

Experience in developing digital twin or 3D simulation networks.

Proven experience in leading large, cross-functional teams.

Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and control systems.

Essential requirement:

Experience as, or alongside, a BIM Manager on facility projects, with expertise in executing BIM Execution Plans.

Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, BIM360, etc.

Experience with digital twin technologies and 3D modeling/simulation applications.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Desired Experience, Skills, and Education: Experience working with facility managers.

Understanding of various above and below ground facilities.

Experience with industrial IoT platforms, SCADA systems, BMS, ICS, or PLC.

Knowledge of protective engineering and physical force protection measures.

Experience in vulnerability analysis, protective design, or weapons effects.

AGC Certificate of Management - Building Information Modeling (CM-BIM).

Expertise in 3D modeling, simulation, and analytics.

Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00
