WRS has immediate openings for an Assistant Project Manager. This role supports the Project Manager and/or the Construction Manager depending on the project scope. Leads smaller projects independently and assists on larger ones as needed. Requires strong problem-solving skills, construction knowledge, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Your Responsibilities

Assist project and construction managers with job setup, planning, and documentation Support development of submittals, work plans, schedules, and cost estimates Perform quantity takeoffs and track work progress, material usage, and change orders Solicit and communicate with vendors and subcontractors professionally Prepare and manage RFIs, pay apps, daily reports, project files, and documentation Co-lead or lead small-scale construction projects (typically Assist with project financial tracking, forecasting, billing, and reporting Contribute to bid proposals and estimating with detailed scopes and pricing breakdowns Support procurement of materials, rentals, and subcontract agreements Use or learn software tools (e.g., MS Office, Bluebeam, HCSS, HeavyBid, MS Project) Ensure compliance with contracts, scope, safety regulations, and client requirements Communicate effectively with field staff, clients, and internal teams Write and maintain professional reports, emails, and correspondence Present at meetings or briefings as needed Maintain organization, professionalism, and a positive team-oriented attitude Willingness to work extended hours during deadlines Your Experience & Qualifications

Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 1-3+ years of experience in construction, estimating, or project coordination preferred Proficient in MS Office; experience with Bluebeam, HCSS, HeavyBid, or scheduling software is a plus Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Ability to interpret plans/specs, manage multiple priorities, and work both independently and on a team Your Benefits & Compensation
