Sr. Software Engineer Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD
MUST: Active Top Secret / SCI required Senior Software Engineer 10 years of direct experience with Java or Python development 3 years of experience managing software development teams. 3 years in cyber or C4ISR systems. Experience leading "large team " (e.g. oversaw at least two agile teams). Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework). Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Git). Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery. Experience with Unix-based (RedHat, Ubuntu, etc.) and Windows OS. Familiarity with Application Programming Interfaces. Experience with Ansible Playbooks. Ability to deliver high-level technical briefings on complex topics to senior leaders. Master's Degree in an Engineering or Information Technology discipline. 4 additional years and a BA in lieu of a MA or 8 additional years if no degree.
DUTIES: Collaborates with users, requirements owners, and developmental contractors. Translate operational requirements into software requirements and designs. Support activities applicable to software development and integration of software. Work with tools/capabilities onto a variety of execution platforms. Participates in the development and execution of software and system tests. Reviews and assesses developmental contractor software code. Ensure compliance with government-provided coding and cybersecurity standards. Participates in government oversight of contractor software development to include: Development paradigm activities (e.g., scrums, sprint retrospectives) Software acceptance criteria Generating recommendations to the government Assistant Product Manager Development/test automation tools, Requirements prioritization, test, evaluation and cross-system integration Provides integrated, solution recommendations for resolution of technical problems. *Progression Inc. is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
