What We're Looking For We're seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join our growing team. You'll play a critical role in building and scaling the backend systems that power our platform. This includes developing APIs, managing serverless workflows, integrating advanced LLM orchestrators, and ensuring seamless connectivity with our front-end and AI systems. The ideal candidate has experience with cloud-native development, serverless architectures, and a strong grasp of security best practices (OAuth, RBAC). You'll collaborate closely with other engineers and stakeholders to deliver a reliable, scalable product that empowers our customers. What You'll Do • Build and Optimize APIs: Develop and maintain robust REST APIs using Node.js and Python. • Database Management: Design, implement, and optimize Postgres (with Vector Plugin) and DynamoDB for efficient data storage and retrieval. • AI Integrations: Work with LangChain, AWS, and Microsoft orchestrators to customize and integrate multiple LLMs into the backend. • Secure Access Control: Implement OAuth and RBAC for secure user authentication and role-based permissions. • Serverless Architecture: Build scalable, serverless workflows using AWS Lambda, S3, and related services. • Collaboration: Partner with frontend developers to ensure seamless API integrations and data flow. • Scalability: Ensure backend systems are reliable and can handle increasing loads as we scale. • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Participate in code reviews to uphold high standards. • Monitoring & Debugging: Work with CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana to monitor performance and troubleshoot issues. • Security: Develop software in accordance with secure coding practices. Conduct code reviews and participate in security testing and threat modeling. What We're Looking For in You • Technical Skills: o 3+ years of experience in backend development. o Proficiency in Node.js and Python. o Strong knowledge of Postgres and familiarity with vector databases or plugins. o Experience with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, DynamoDB). o Familiarity with OAuth and RBAC for secure access control. o Comfortable working with LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain) and AI integrations. • Soft Skills: o Problem solver with a passion for tackling complex technical challenges. o Strong communicator, comfortable explaining technical concepts to non technical stakeholders. o Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a willingness to learn and adapt. • Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Haves): o Familiarity with AWS tools like S3, API Gateway, and CloudWatch. o Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. o Exposure to Slack workflows and SDKs.
