Job Description
The day program services coordinator is a pivotal position in the day program. The person in this position has the responsibility to coordinate a variety of services including, but not limited to individual finances, transportation, vehicle maintenance, health and safety and facility management. The day program services coordinator is responsible to assist the Day Program Director (DPD) and Day Program Manager (DPM) with the administrative tasks required to ensure that the day program remains in compliance with DDD and Medicaid regulations as well as Dungarvin policy and procedures. The day program services coordinator is also responsible to carry out the responsibilities and duties of the Day Program Professional (DPP) job description when the program is short staffed if requested by the DPM or DPD.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of one-year experience working with individuals with ID/DD is required. Experience in day program setting is preferred. Must be responsible, reliable, and able to carry out job functions with minimum supervision.
This position is designated as an Unlimited Driving Position - defined as one that requires an employee to drive a motor vehicle as a part of his/her Dungarvin work, including vehicles owned or leased by Dungarvin, and/or to drive a vehicle in which a person served is transported. Any employee in this position must comply with the requirements outlined in the POLICY AND PROCEUDRE ON DRIVING AND THE USE OF MOTOR VEHICLES (A-8). All employees in this position must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record, as defined by Dungarvin's insurance carrier.
In accordance with N.J.S.A. 30:6D-77 et seq., provider agencies are required to ensure that employees are qualified to work in the field which includes the ability to pass the criminal background check and a drug test. Employees may not be on the Department of Children and Families' child abuse registry (CARI) or the Department of Human Services Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
