Description
The position of an assistant project manager (APM) is a training position as the APM works closely, under supervision, with either a project manager (PM) or senior project manager (SPM). The APM role is to assist with the planning, organization, and management of the day-to-day operations, as well as any other responsibilities the project manager or senior project manager sees fit.
The APM will assist the project manager or senior project manager with the owner's contract, contract documents, and project estimate to produce a project in real life in accordance with those terms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Build master project schedule, with oversight from PM, and own all project updates. Generate and maintain a schedule of values for proper preparation and timely submission of payment application to owners. Assist with project forecasting and projections that includes identifying, documenting, and reporting monthly project financials to leadership. Under the supervision of PM or SPM, negotiate timely and accurate project buy-out including finalization of purchase orders and work orders. Strong knowledge of means and methods of various job site techniques in price changes and other activities is required. Mentors and supports senior project engineers and project engineers. Assist in the execution and assembly of the MYCON Quality Control Plan and MYCON Safety Plan. Responsible for all document control in Procore for each project. Assists in Project Close-out and final billing, completed within 45 days of Substantial Completion Punch list complete per contract Final billing and retainage billing submitted All Close-out documents submitted and approved Analyzes and equitably resolves back charges and extra requests from subcontractors As instructed by PM or SPM, the APM is required to facilitate OAC project meetings with an executive presence to achieve MYCON Operational excellence. Performs other position-appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional, and courteous manner. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Bachelor's or 3 additional years of relevant experience 3 years of relevant experience OSHA 30 CPR/First Aid PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit, converse, and listen; dexterity and flexibility are required for physical tasks. The employee must be able to lift and/or carry over 20 pounds on a periodic basis and be able to push/pull over 25 pounds on a periodic basis. The employee must be able to stand and/or walk at least five hours per day. Ability to work in a stressful environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. WORK ENVIRONMENT
