Description
The Cybersecurity SME supports PACAF mission owners and cyber forces with cybersecurity, RMF, and FISMA compliance across PACAF's Area of Responsibility. This role ensures compliance with DoD, Air Force, and federal directives, providing strategic cybersecurity guidance, system assessments, and audit readiness support.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver RMF/FISMA support, mentor cyber forces, and guide compliance with AF/DOD directives. Support and sustain A&A packages and artifacts (eMASS, ITIPS, SNAP, GIAP). Conduct cybersecurity assessments (virtual/on-site), CRR-M readiness, and assist in CORA/CCORI inspections. Maintain synchronization of cybersecurity data across AF and DISA repositories. Guide MOBs & GSUs in vulnerability management, endpoint security, and RMF documentation. Provide leadership in preparing and delivering cybersecurity training and policy implementation. Requirements
Security Clearance: TS/SCI Certifications:
DoD 8140 compliant (e.g., CISM, CISSP, CISA, CySA+, CASP+ CE) DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level III equivalent
Experience:
2-3 years in RMF, A&A, FISMA, and DoD/AF cybersecurity environments Familiarity with AF cyber architecture and tools (e.g., STIGs, eMASS, ITIPS, SNAP, SGS)
Training (Required within 3 days if not already completed):
Anti-Terrorism, SERE, Cyber Awareness, OPSEC, Derivative Classification, etc.
Skills & Competencies
Expert in RMF lifecycle, cybersecurity assessments, ATO packages, and STIG compliance Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint Strong communication skills, ability to brief senior leaders and mentor staff Knowledge of CRR-M, CORA/CCORI scoring and inspection preparation Ability to resolve technical issues related to scanning and endpoint protection tools
