Job Description:
As a ServiceNow Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining solutions within the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements and improve IT service delivery. You will play a key role in application development, automation, and platform administration to ensure seamless system performance and user experience.
Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement custom applications, workflows, and scripts on the ServiceNow platform • Develop and maintain Service Catalog items and Request Management processes • Configure and support modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, and CMDB • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored ServiceNow solutions • Integrate ServiceNow with other systems using APIs and data exchange methods • Ensure system upgrades and patches are applied with minimal impact • Create dashboards and reports using Performance Analytics • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the platform
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies: • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting including JavaScript, Glide API, and both server/client-side scripting • Strong experience in developing custom applications and UI policies • Hands-on knowledge of Flow Designer and ServiceNow Studio • Expertise in platform administration, including role/user management and module configuration • Familiarity with API integrations and external system connections • Ability to design scalable and user-friendly Service Catalogs • Experience creating actionable dashboards and performance reports • Strong problem-solving mindset and holistic thinking around workflows • Effective communication skills to collaborate with both technical and business teams • Adaptability and commitment to staying current with ServiceNow updates • Understanding of how ServiceNow impacts broader business processes • Preferred certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and/or Application Developer • Bonus: Experience in governance and change enablement, along with real-world implementation or upgrade project work
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $70.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
