Responsible for ensuring the quality of incoming materials through visual inspection and the use of Inspection, Measurement, and Test Equipment (IMTE). Confirms product conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. This role also oversees material flow through the incoming inspection process.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect mechanical and electrical components using tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and vision systems (Keyence, OGP, Micro-Vu).
Perform visual inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
Interpret specifications and drawings to determine appropriate inspection methods, including complex components.
Manage material flow through inspection area using FIFO and urgency prioritization.
Log inspection results, inventory movement, and non-conformance in electronic systems.
Communicate inspection findings clearly with project and inspection teams.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace and adhere to safety procedures. Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
5+ years of quality inspection experience, including incoming inspection.
Proficient in using IMTE and reading engineering drawings.
Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with therapy delivery or medical device products.
Understanding of equipment capabilities and GD&T (training available). Competencies:
Strong organizational and time management skills.
High standards for quality and accuracy.
